“While enrolled in the LL.M. programme in International and Transnational Criminal Law at the University of Amsterdam, I was able to work with Promise Europe on organizing its conference on international law in the face of ecological crises. One of the highlights of my time with Promise Europe was to watch the work that was put into the conference actually translating into the physical event and providing a space for the impactful personal stories of Indigenous activists and legal professionals from the Pacific Islands on the effects of climate change.
